is this a good workout idea?
23rd June 2010
i am trying to loose weight, i am 15 and weight about 165 pounds. i was wondering if i could workout in the morning before school, eat breakfast (egg whites and granola) go to school eat salad at lunch, come home work out for about another 2 hours, use sauna/steam room, come home and eat dinner ( fish/ chicken, veggies, and brown rice)????
and i was also wondeirng what is the best weight loss supplement to do this with?
thanks, caleb
I work out. I eat well. I’m still at the same weight?
22nd June 2010
I’m 21, 5′5, and have been stuck at around 160 for months. My 160 is also different from most peoples, as it seems to be alot of muscle (in my legs).
I go to the gym 5-6 times a week for two hours, running about 3 miles on the treadmill, and various other cardio and weights, or swimming laps. I come home drenched in sweat, and I spend 15 minutes in the sauna post-workout.
I eat a vegetarian/vegan diet, organic when possible, and whole grains. I’ve cut beer and diet soda out of my diet.
I drink the daily recommended amount of water.
You’d think by now the weight would be falling off of me. It’s not. I’ve been fluctuating around 160 for months, and it’s water weight pounds lost/gained. *** is wrong?
Also, please do not leave comments regarding my vegetarian/veganism. I’m sticking to my choice, and I’ll disregard your whole spiel.
My husband and I are currently stationed in Turkey and they have a store like Home Depot that is selling a combination computerized jacuzzi shower sauna hot tub. It also has a radio and lights which means it is wired with 220v not 110v like the states. If we do buy it, is it easy to change it from 220v to 110v?
PREGNANT @ 9 WEEKS went to SAUNA?
18th June 2010
I’m 9 weeks pregnant and I remember that when I was almost 2 or 3 weeks pregnant… I went to a spa and had turkish SAUNA… and just 2 days ago, I had another one.. when I got home.. I did some research on the do’s and dont’s on Pregnancy.. and I ran across the SAUNA, HOT TUBS is not recommendable/ let’s say strictly forbidden coz the fetus especially in the 1st trimester… where the baby is still developing his physically/mentally… so, to cut the story short.. I’m curious if that those 2 intances… will it bring defects to the fetus? Please help me because Im a first timer to this… I dont know what to do.. I’ve already asked my OB and she just told me to pray…
I have the flu and we have a home sauna & steam shower that I’ve been running all weekend, and I’m worried that it could have ****** up too much energy and somehow damaged our refrigerator because it’s not turning on now and it’s only a year old and it’s a top-of-the-line Viking. I already checked the breaker box and switched everything on and off and the refrigerator is still not turning on!! It’s plugged in.
I’m just worried that this could be my fault. Could it be? What should I do??? I’m home by myself this weekend and I want to figure this out before my parents come home.
Question about home heating?
16th June 2010
I live in a 2-story townhome (no basement). It’s my first winter living here. Ever since it’s been really cold outside, the 1st floor is really cold and the 2nd floor is so warm I almost can’t sleep at night. All the vents on the 2nd floor are closed except one that I can’t reach (the ceiling is vaulted). I even keep the thermostat at 67 and it doesn’t help. I know if I turned it higher to make the 1st floor warmer, it would turn my 2nd floor into an even bigger sauna.
I need a storm window for my front door (there’s only a screen on it now) and I’ve got a towel up against the bottom of the door as well. So I think part of what’s happening is the first floor is cold so the heat keeps kicking in, therefore making the 2nd floor hot. But what else can I do to fix the uneven temperature?
Can I sue the seller of my home after closing is over?
14th June 2010
First let me say that I know I’m going to have to talk to an actual lawyer from my state, but I’m at work and my day is dragging because of worry; so I’m on here in hopes that someone can calm my nerves a bit.
Now, my question is:
My husband and I closed on our first home July 9th. We left immediately to go out of town right after closing and only spent a couple nights in our new home and everything seemed to be running smoothly. However, upon returning from vacation we noticed that our A/C unit was running literally 24/7, but not cooling the house. We contacted a HVAC center to make sure (I know it sounds silly, but you never know) that we had it turned on properly and set properly and we did. So the next day we contacted our home warranty company to file a claim that the AC was obviously broken. The HVAC company came to our home and told us that basically the AC was installed incorrectly and that the warranty would not cover it. He informed us that it was shotty work and that we would need to contact the seller to make repairs, or it would cost us 3k.
My husband and I had TWO home inspections, so we did not buy the home blindly. However, the home inspector did not mentional anything about the AC unit. I asked the home inspection company and our real estate agent whether he should have and they both informed me that the home inspector is not a trained HVAC technician and his only job it to state whether its working properly at the time of inspection, which it seemed to be (mind you it was only 70 degrees out side, now it’s 95 and my house is a sauna) so it wasn’t stated in the report.
My overall question is, if the buyer refuses to make the repair do I have any hopes at winning in small claims court now that we’ve lived in the home for two weeks?
